Hotel Wittelsbacher Hof, just a five-minute walk from the pedestrian zone, the Kurpark and the Convention Center, is a first class hotel widely known for its personal service, range of facilities and high standards of comfort. 55 well-appointed rooms, traditionally furnished, provide a haven of comfort and serenity. All rooms have private bath, TV, telephone, most have a southern balcony overlooking the garden and with a view of the Zugspitze. Elegant restaurant, comfortable lounge, heated indoor swimming pool (29° C), sauna and wellness area, terrace and spacious garden. Full buffet breakfast, selected menus and à la carte choice. Parking (no charge) and garage.

Restaurants
The stylish restaurant is decorated in the hotel’s traditional colours, yellow and blue, and is adorned with crystal chandeliers. Large bay windows look out over the gardens and the Wetterstein mountain massif. Light and refined classical cuisine is served, as well as a large choice of select wines. The ‘Stüberl’ is a cozy, maplewood-paneled alpine restaurant embellished with hunting trophies, hand-wrought iron artwork and original paintings. Both lunch and dinner are served here. Table for up to 16 persons. Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. / Dinner: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The breakfast room on the hotel’s southern flank is a study in powder blue, pink and gold. In a pleasant, light-hearted atmosphere with a view over manicured gardens and the mountain world right at your doorstep, your breakfast experience will provide just the right start to your day (7:00 to 10:30 a.m.).

Heated indoor swimming pool (29° C) with jet stream, open 7:00 am to 9:00 p.m. Health spa with sauna, steambath, adventure showers, tanning solarium, Kneipp footbaths and quiet room, exclusively reserved for hotel guests and free of charge. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the most important climatic spa resorts of the Bavarian Alps and Germany’s winter sports capital. It is located in the heart of the German Alps, flanked by the Wetterstein, one of the mightiest mountain ranges of the northern Alps, and the Zugspitze (9730 ft.). It offers an unlimited choice of hiking trails, including level ones in the valley. Convention Center, Kurpark with daily outdoor music performances in summer, casino, pedestrian zone, shopping. 9 cablecars, many ski lifts and chairlifts. Cogwheel train and cablecar to the Zugspitze.

How to get here
By train:
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is on the railway line Munich-Innsbruck. Trains run in both directions hourly. Travel time Munich-Garmisch is 90 minutes, Innsbruck-Garmisch 75 minutes.
By car:
From Munich: approximately 80 kms
Motorway A 95 in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. From end of motorway at Eschenlohe, follow B 2 (10 kms). After the tunnel, follow direction Partenkirchen, turn right at the 2nd traffic light. The hotel is located in 300 meters on the left.
From Innsbruck: approximately 55 kms.
Take the road via Seefeld and Mittenwald to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, turn left at the 5th traffic light. The hotel is located in 300 meters on the left.
By air:
From Munich Airport (140 kms) by train, rental car or taxi (can be arranged by hotel, approximately EUR 130.00) to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
From Innsbruck (55 kms) by train, rental car or taxi (approximately EUR 60.00)
